Feeling a certain level of anxiety over big stressors or certain life events is totally normal. However, if you find that your fear or worry does not go away and, in fact, gets worse over time, you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder. Mild anxiety is vague and unsettling and often passes quickly, while severe anxiety can seriously affect your day-to-day life. If you are finding your anxiety unmanageable, can’t identify the cause of your anxious feelings or if you are suffering from physical symptoms (such as heart palpations, fatigue, sweaty hands, upset stomach, or insomnia), it may be time to get help. Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s anxiety specialists today.
My approach to the therapeutic relationship is collaborative. The client is the expert of themselves and my role is to provide the knowledge and skills I have attained. I'm also trained in Biofeedback, Ego State/Dissociation (Parts Work), the Flash Technique, and Intergenerational Trauma to help clients discover relief.

My work focuses on identifying deeply rooted issues that reinforce low self esteem, negative communication patterns and feelings of disconnection, and developing solutions to enhance connection, trust and resilience. I enjoy working with those who are navigating emotional distancing or insecure attachment, contemplating leaving a toxic relationship or job, new parents and those in caregiver roles, and helping people pleasers learn to say no.

I work with adults who want to process past trauma and relearn how to feel safe in the present. I often work with people who grew up in dysfunctional families, and have experienced neglect and abuse in close relationships. These experiences often lead to secondary challenges such as depression, anxiety, and relational difficulties. I work with clients to reconnect to their authentic selves. My approach is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). A core idea is that trying too hard to get rid of or control our emotions tends to backfire. Instead of trying to get rid of unwanted thoughts & feelings, I will help you learn to react differently to them so that you can keep your focus on living a fulfilling life. We will work together to set meaningful goals to address your concerns–whether they relate to life transitions, depression, anxiety, stress, or gender and sexuality.
