One main obstacle to seeking mental health treatment is the stigma surrounding “going to therapy.” With that, you are often left feeling alone or more alone than before. My goal is to assist you in understanding and managing your mental health and successfully working on your goals. My Background and Approach
If you've found my page, you may be seeking a therapist to begin your journey to healing. I truly look forward to working with you! Until then, allow me to share a grounding technique that I find helpful, especially for those struggling with anxiety. It's called the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise. This grounding exercise could be utilized in nearly any setting. If you wish, you may write these down, but you do not need to. First, start by identifying (to yourself) FIVE things you see. Second, identify FOUR things you can touch. Third, identify THREE things you can hear. Fourth, identify TWO things you can smell. Fifth, identify ONE thing you can taste.
