About My Clients
I specialize in working with people facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, and low self-esteem. My clients are often seeking a deeper understanding of themselves.
My Approach to Helping
My approach blends psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral principles, allowing us to explore the historical roots of your concerns while addressing the here-and-now for immediate relief and growth. Together, we will clarify your goals, examine underlying conflicts that may be keeping you stuck, and challenge narratives about yourself and others that no longer serve you. If needed, I incorporate skill-building to empower you with practical tools. The therapeutic relationship is central to my work. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel understood and valued, while also providing the honest, constructive feedback needed to reach your treatment goals. My sessions balance warmth and encouragement with a gentle push to embrace change. In addition to my clinical practice, I serve as Faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
My Values as a Therapist
I value authenticity and embracing all parts of a person—their challenges and symptoms, as well as their strengths and resilience. I believe you are the expert on yourself, and our work is a collaboration rooted in your unique experiences. Flexibility is central to my approach; if something isn’t working, we adapt together to find what does. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.
