My Background and Approach
How we'll get you unstuck: *you can measure your progress every session *you can acknowledge your strengths without always needing to be strong *you can feel safe to try things & give feedback if it's not working *you can understand what we're doing & why --------- I have experience working with people of all identities since I've been a social worker in 5 different settings during more than 10 years in the field. I see beauty in differences, as well as the challenges of oppression. It's important to me that we acknowledge both. As a biracial Afro-latinx woman who doesn't speak Spanish, and a lifelong vegetarian who doesn't like vegetables, I know how complex it can be to integrate all the different parts of yourself when the world just sees pieces that don't fit. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in collective liberation, and in the inherent worth of humans, animals, and the environment. We are worthy. We are worthy of care, of love, of compassion, of having our basic needs met. That's why I have volunteered and donated to different causes throughout my life, including local pantries, animal rescue organizations, and environmental conservation efforts.
