Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a classic talk therapy technique that helps increase awareness of negative thinking in order to better handle challenging situations. In addition to helping those with mental health disorders (such as anxiety or depression), CBT is also helpful for anyone who is looking to learn how to manage stressful situations. Therapists that use CBT often have a structured program, which involves a set number of sessions. CBT is frequently paired with other treatments, such as medication, when necessary. Think this approach may be right for you? Reach out to one of TherapyDen’s CBT experts today.

I have clinical experience using a cultural, and trauma informed perspective to individualize treatment for my clients. I specialize in working with clients with anxiety, eating disorders/body image issues, OCD, relationship issues, ASD, ADHD, self-esteem, and sex and intimacy issues. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Before private practice, I worked with the child welfare system, supporting children, teens, and families facing housing instability, mental illness, domestic violence, and trauma. In private practice, I discovered my passion for neurodiversity, specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders. I also support clients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, personality disorders, and stressors related to abuse, life transitions, family conflict, and self-esteem.
I have worked with people with co-occurring diagnoses for over 4 years, primarily working with individuals with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorders, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, and substance use. I have found utilizing cultural competency and adapting to clients’ individual needs and strengths to be paramount in my work.
My primary clinical focus has been treating adults from diverse backgrounds with anxiety and panic disorders, mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem issues, relational distress, adjustment, and multicultural issues. I draw upon principles of CBT, Narrative and Trauma Therapy, Inner Child Work, Attachment theory, Psychodynamic Theory, and Mindfulness-Based Practices and have experience with individual and group work in South Asia and U.S.A.
I blend a variety of therapeutic techniques—EMDR, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy—with a touch of humor— to create a dynamic, personalized approach to healing. Therapy is not a "one size fits all" solution, so collaborating with my clients to find what tools and strategies work best for each person is important to me. At the end of the day, you are the master of your own experience!

I enjoy working with adolescents to middle aged women who are looking to improve relationships, feeling ashamed of who they are, and are struggling with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem as a result. Women face unique challenges throughout their lives, and it is my goal to help them overcome these obstacles so they can live a happier, more fulfilling life.
