About My Clients
I specialize in guiding individuals through grief and loss, navigating the complexities of aging parents, and supporting families with intellectual or developmental disabilities. During our initial sessions, we will examine the stories and experiences you bring to the table. We will forge a new path forward using the values that have guided your life thus far.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my background includes working with diverse populations, from foster care families to hospice patients. My areas of expertise encompass grief and loss, caregiver stress, geriatrics, end-of-life concerns, long-term care planning, and supporting siblings of individuals with disabilities
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to change and that each human brings a unique story to the table. As a child and adult I have struggled with anxiety and with being an adoptive sibling to 2 brothers with disabilities. Through my own years of therapy I have learned how to use my anxiety as a strength to keep myself safe while not allowing it to control my life. I'm a big believer in community and give back to the greater Austin area by providing respite to foster families and participating in local community events. I enjoy cooking, hanging out with my dog and partner, traveling, and running a local book club.
