My Background and Approach
As a therapist specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), my approach focuses on helping clients develop psychological flexibility by embracing their emotions and thoughts without judgment. I guide individuals to clarify their values and use them as a compass to navigate life’s challenges. Through mindfulness techniques and experiential exercises, we work together to reduce the struggle with unwanted thoughts and feelings, allowing space for meaningful actions aligned with what truly matters to you. My goal is to empower you to live a rich, fulfilling life by cultivating acceptance, presence, and committed action toward your goals and values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We navigate our lives based on different experiences and expectations, often seeing life through different lenses. It is out of this notion, that comes the realization that as your therapist, I don't relate to you soley as a "diagnosis" nor will I keep you in a "diagnostic box". Growth comes from giving and sharing space. I have learned to connect through a non-judgmental, strength based approach. This, I believe, is at the heart of a strong therapeutic relationship. Out of this relationship, I have the ability to calm your fears that are often barriers in therapy.
