About My Clients

Adulting is a struggle. While it is a valuable time of self discovery, it is also a time of uncertainty and increased responsibility. There are expectations to find your footing in this world and find it fast. Under the weight of these societal pressures we think, is this as good as it gets? Are my wants, needs, and desires reasonable? Sifting through these alone is overwhelming. Our relationship offers a consistent, exploratory place for you to gain insight into yourself and these questions.

My Background and Approach

I help people strengthen their self-understanding and improve their relationship with others. Through a trauma-informed approach, we examine how your past may be influencing your ability to presently experience a life that feels connected and meaningful to you. While I’m passionate about helping people recover from emotional abuse, I also work with young professionals who feel stressed out navigating relationships (marriage, dating, divorce), and/or who feel dissatisfied with their careers. If you’re experiencing ongoing feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, or any mental health challenges that interfere with daily functioning, therapy can benefit you. During our sessions we integrate self-compassion practices and practice healthy coping skills, as we investigate your thoughts, feelings, and unconscious patterns. Let's turn insight into action so you can feel empowered about who you are and how you want to live your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy has helped me learn how to trust myself despite expectations from family, friends, and culture. It was my sacred space; a place I could come as I was, unscripted and raw. Therapy not only provides a space to grieve and work through some of the emotional complexities that come with living, it is also a space where you gain insight into yourself and how you show up in relationships. It also helps us recognize the systemic concepts and ideologies we have internalized that may not be of value to us. Knowing who we are, what we want, and our areas of growth, empowers us to make the changes in our lives that are within our control.
