About My Clients
I work with individuals who are searching for a collaborative experience to help them find clarity and understanding in their everyday challenges. I take pride in providing affirming therapy for neurodivergent and LGBTQ clients. My clients are complex individuals experiencing pain in response to systemic barriers, who benefit from the support of a clinician who acknowledges these inequities. My eclectic style best fits clients who are looking for a nuanced approach to lasting healing.
My Background and Approach
My warm, transparent, and collaborative style centers around you as the expert and agent of healing in your life–with me here to support you along the way. None of us exist in a vacuum. Understanding the contexts within which you live, I will ask questions, share resources and information, and teach strategies for addressing the challenges you face. Together we will create space for you to feel your feelings in a supportive environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The social justice lens of social work was one of the key features that drew me to this profession. As a white queer person, I work hard to be a member of the queer community that fights against the oppression of queer people of color, particularly Black and brown trans individuals who face the highest rates of violent discrimination. As a neurodivergent person, I work to create more awareness and acceptance of neurodivergence in all its forms. I am committed to providing care that actively works to counter white supremacy, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, ableism, and xenophobia. I am sex- and sex-work-positive, as well as kink-positive. I am critical of the way that capitalism and individualism have shaped American culture, and I am committed to engaging in community care. I believe in the central tenet of co-liberation, that our freedom as individuals and communities is inherently tied with the freedom of all other people.
