About My Clients
The focus of my practice has been working with adults and children with, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I have also worked with school staff struggling with various problems either in their private life or related to being a public school educator.
My Background and Approach
With my experience in education and knowledge of the school processes, I can guide in certain aspects of public education (i.e., IEPs, ARDs, 504, etc.). I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, which includes person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone in life has their own unique story. Sometimes, we need assistance guiding us through those stories. I enjoy helping individuals, children, and teens learn coping skills to manage their struggles in life. I have worked in public education for over twenty years. For the majority of my career, I worked with the special needs population. I began my career as a life skills teacher and later moved into a position as a special education co-teacher.
