About My Clients
Is navigating a life transition or daily obstacles causing anxiety, depression, or bringing up past trauma and insecurities for you? When people feel stuck, misunderstood, or limited by emotional pain throughout their lives, the therapeutic process can offer meaningful evaluation of lifelong patterns and introduce new ideas that can affect change in a safe, accepting and neutral space.
My Background and Approach
Integrated Wellness Group provides supportive and therapeutic approaches to treatment tailored to the individual. I have a background interning in public school and day program settings along with post graduate clinical work in outpatient community health settings. I work with varying age groups. I offer a safe, creative and nonjudgemental space to work together and empower you to use your own tools for optimal life functioning. I utilize a strengths-based, relational approach and use evidence based interventions such as CBT, IFS parts approach, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and exposure. While working together, we will work on identifying triggers and from there, work on implementing healthy coping skills. By understanding how these triggers can impact symptoms, we can break negative cycles and empower positive change. I also have a background in art therapy and can bring creative interventions into sessions if this fits the client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that support, expanding perspectives, and reflection can aid greatly in mental well-being and prevent feeling stuck in situations over one's life. Part of being human is to feel emotion but part of well-being is not being consumed by emotion, but being able to manage emotion. I hold to the belief that people do have the tools needed to find grounding and empowerment in their own lives and that therapy is one of the special processes in being able to uncover or develop those tools for well-being.
