About My Clients
With over 7 years of experience in the field, I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicidality, high-risk behaviors, harm reduction, crisis deescalation, and LGBTQ identity exploration. For the past couple of years, I’ve focused my practice on working as a suicide prevention therapist with youth and young adults. My approach is rooted in centering the individual, a structural analysis of the systems we struggle with daily, a sense of justice, empathy, and radical acceptance.
My Background and Approach
I employ the practices of a person-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, empowerment, evidence-based safety planning, narrative therapy, and transformative justice. I hold a Master's of Clinical Social Work from the University of Washington and continuously engage in professional development to stay up to date of the latest research and techniques in psychotherapy. I'm dedicated to helping you find clarity, resilience, and a path forward that feels authentic and empowering.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every individual and community deserves dignity, respect, love, and true freedom. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the importance of centering marginalized experiences and recognizing the unique challenges faced by diverse identities. I value decolonization as a crucial aspect of healing, advocating for the dismantling of oppressive systems and honoring indigenous knowledge and practices. My involvement in local mutual aid and organizing reflects my commitment to community support and collective action, emphasizing the power of grassroots efforts in creating meaningful change. I hold that our strength lies in solidarity and togetherness, and it is essential for us to empower one another. By fostering agency and collaboration, we can create a world that reflects our shared values and aspirations.
