About My Clients
I work with dreamers, perfectionists, those that feel stuck or unheard, underappreciated or overwhelmed. Many of my clients are pregnant or in the postpartum period. I also work with many clients that work in the tech industry, college students, aviation professionals, authors, and artists. The issues that my clients primarily have are related to adjustment, anxiety, depression or relationship distress.
My Background and Approach
My family and I immigrated to the United States from the Republic of Ireland when I was a child. This experience has helped to inform who I am as a therapist and a person; which helps me to connect with clients from various cultures and backgrounds. I am married with 5 children, 1 of whom is a bonus child. I also have a puppy named Jedi. My favorite hobbies are reading, travelling, planning, and spending time with family. As a therapist, I utilize Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Motivational Interviewing techniques. I believe every client’s needs are different and there is no “one-size fits all” approach. In your session’s with me, you should expect a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental person to accompany you on your journey through therapy. It is my aim to provide compassionate, helpful therapy on a personal level with my clients. I have a passion for women's health issues and served on the board of the Snohomish County Perinatal Task Force.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing begins in a safe space. A place you can feel comfortable to heal, to grow, to explore, to reflect, and change. It is so important that you feel comfortable and connected with your therapist; one of the most important factors for success in therapy is a strong therapeutic alliance! I am here to be you ally, your confidante, and a non-judgemental person to help you sort through the chaos and the noise to help bring you towards healing and feeling better.
