About My Clients
I offer a range of therapeutic services for adults and older teens to help you heal and thrive, including support for: anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationships, LGBTQ+ support, identity, self-worth, spirituality, and adoption. People seeking a creative, embodied approach that's different from traditional talk therapy can benefit from my somatic work. I have also completed the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 training and am pleased to offer couples counseling.
My Background and Approach
With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people in a variety of settings. Before opening my private practice nearly a decade ago, I worked in the psychiatric and medical emergency rooms of San Francisco General Hospital, a level 1 trauma center, as well as in mental health clinics, and schools. These diverse experiences have given me a wide, real-world perspective on the challenges people face. I view therapy as a partnership. I approach each client with curiosity, empathy, and respect, and I am committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where you can address your challenges and achieve your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In addition to my clinical work, I am a former professional modern dancer. I understand firsthand how the arts and creativity can be a source of strength and resilience. I also have lived in multiple countries, which has deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity. I strive to be an ally to people of color and am committed to ongoing cultural sensitivity in my work. I also care about about sustainability in the face of climate change and related to this I completed a certification in permaculture design.
