Accepting Clients

It's been my honor work with clients making meaningful shifts in their life for over 14 years. Adults, Couples, and Young People 8+.

Therapist in Minnesota

About My Clients

I enjoy working with young people (8+), adults, and couples using mindfulness modalities, somatic (body/mind/emotional connections) when helpful, client-centered, strength-based and trauma-informed approaches. I prioritize intersectionality and inclusion in my personal and professional life. I follow your lead on how structured/unstructured our sessions are, homework assigned or not, and I hear time and time again how surprised client are at how often we laugh together in session.

My Background and Approach

Prior to doing therapy, I worked in the domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy world for over a decade. In 2009, I began doing work as a personal/professional development coach and in 2022 I stepped (back) into the clinical social work field to provide therapy services. My intention is to always meet you where you are at, hear you when you say things are/are not working in therapy, and reflect back to you honesty and direct feedback when helpful, and of course how perfect and shiny and wonderful you are (because we all have all of these facets of ourselves.). My favorite part of doing therapy (or any people-centric work) is watching people shift from being primarily impacted by circumstances, emotional dysregulation patterns, and daily habits, to being pulled by their intentions and how drastically the world opens up to them when that change is made. I am so stoked and thankful for the opportunity to get to know you as you are now, and who you will become in our work together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am queer-aligned and identified and absolutely adore working with women. That being said, some of the most fun I've had as a therapist is watching men do the work of healing themselves and how that has impacted their relationships and their sense of self. I am a military kid and a former military spouse, and the veteran population has a special place in my heart. It wasn't my intention per se, but I've landed a bit of a niche working with clients navigating unhealthy relationship dynamics (no surprise given my time doing domestic violence work) and I am absolutely over the moon when I get to watch my LGBTQ+ clients live their best life out in a society that in many ways tries to deny them this experience. When I'm not doing therapy with the greatest clients of all time, yoga and meditation practices are my coping skills as well as being a mom to an absolute rockstar of a young person.
