My Background and Approach
I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada and moved to the United States in 2012 to further my education. I bring over a decade of professional experience as a social worker, having worked in various capacities within social services, non-profit organizations, and community behavioral health settings. My preferred method of self-care involves spending time outdoors, exploring the natural beauty of our state. Outside of work, I prioritize quality time with my family, cooking delicious meals, cozying up with a great book, and tending to my vegetable garden. I approach my work through an attachment lens, drawing upon evidence-based and trauma informed therapeutic models in my practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, my number one priority is to cultivate a nurturing environment where clients feel safe as we embark on the journey of building mutual trust. I am committed to providing all clients with intersectional and culturally informed care, recognizing the significance of each individual's unique background and experiences. Together, we will collaborate on developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific mental health goals. I acknowledge the courage it takes to open up and share deeply personal experiences with someone new. Rest assured, you are not alone in this vulnerability, and I want to affirm that seeking therapy is a testament to your worthiness and resilience.
