About My Clients
I am passionate about working with those who have felt most marginalized, those who do not often find a person who reflects their shared identities, and those who have felt silenced or unheard. Topics and communities I am passionate about include: Anxiety, perfectionism, chronic stress, challenging family dynamics, identity-based stress, historical trauma, polyamory, QTBIPOC people, activists and organizers managing a challenging world, and teenagers finding a sense of themselves in the world.
My Background and Approach
I am a proud non-binary, polyamorous, 2nd generation Vietnamese American. I have been trained in drama therapy for the last three years and I have a background in supporting youth and young adults in developing their voice and empowering them through social change. As a drama therapist, I believe in the power of using spontaneity, playfulness, and embodiment to get people out of their heads and feel a sense of ease and empowerment in their bodies. My specialties include healing historical and intergenerational wounds, inner child work, perfection, anxiety, polyamory, identity-based stress, gender and sexuality, and working with activists and organizers.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active member of the LGBTQ community, particularly in the Vietnamese community. It is through this group that I have learned the importance of intergenerational healing through art, food, and community. This has informed my belief in community care and healing. I also have a background in activism and community organizing. I am passionate about facilitating workshops for the community. I have led workshops on anti-blackness in the Asian community, homophobia, gender justice, and intergenerational trauma. I also lead a group for polyamorous queer and BIPOC people. All these experiences have led me to a healing approach that is trauma-informed, culturally centered and grounded in social justice.
