About My Clients
Have you ever noticed yourself feeling trapped in a situation, looking for something to help you escape and distract yourself? Or found yourself wanting to change a behavior or routine because that pattern no longer works for you? Maybe a little of both? I work with adults and adolescents as they make their way through the stages of change for concerns including: behavioral/process addictions, substance addictions, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Shame, Complex Trauma, and Adjustment.
My Background and Approach
My goal is for you to discover ways to embrace your own strengths and wisdom so that you can more effectively work toward sustaining a fulfilling life. Techniques used in our sessions will include: dialogue, mindfulness, visualization, skills building, experiential activities, evidence-based interventions, and workbook tasks. I will often encourage you to complete independent tasks between sessions so that we can more effectively support you in working toward your goals. It is my mission to always provide clients with a warm, empathetic, collaborative environment where meaningful experiences and change can occur. I hold a Master’s Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in addictions from Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education & Counseling. Additionally, I have obtained the following certifications from MHACBO: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II and Certified Gambling Addictions Counselor II.
