My Background and Approach
I have been working with couples and individuals in various capacities to refine my skills and tools. I am happy to help engaged or committed couples establish healthy habits for communication as they move towards marriage or commitment, I can effectively deescalate high conflict couples, I have multiple skills to aid in communication, and I have experience fostering connection and safety. I take time to learn about what has and hasn't been working for you as a couple so we can determine healthier coping and communication skills. For individuals, I am versed in abuse and maltreatment and aim to empower you and validate your experience. I love doing work to help people set boundaries and increase their self-esteem. Overall, I'm here to be your trusty copilot. We can address your concerns and explore different ways to reach your goals. I won't lead you where I think that you should go, but rather will help you navigate to where you want to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has the capacity to change and I believe that every couple has the possibility for growth. I believe that our childhood experiences, the examples that we had of love, and our early relationships all set the stage for how we seek connection and fulfillment as adults. We are a freshly tilled plot of land as children, and as adults we find that people and things have come along throughout the years and added flowers, weeds, and vegetables. As adults we inherit that plot of land and have the opportunity to turn it into our own. It takes tilling, weed-pulling, and fertilization, but we have the power to plant what we want in that land because it's ours. I would love to help your plot of land flourish.
