Somatic therapy incorporates the intelligent healing power of the body into the therapy room. A neuroscientifically researched approach, somatic therapy reaches well beyond the limitations of "talk therapy". This approach moves into the realm of how our bodies have processed wellbeing, stress and trauma throughout our lives and incorporates experimenting with : breath, movement, alignment and other "bottom-up" interventions to aid the progress of healing.

This approach is a creative deep dive into the often conflicting internal dialogues we all hold inside. Ever felt one particular way but also pulled in another direction? Ever wanted to work on building healthy connection to a person but anger and resentment seem to be driving the interactions? This approach engages directly the tensions that pull us apart and cultivates a deep centeredness in what we call "self" energy - the wise healing intelligence already within you.

In ACT, we are identifying who and what matters most to you and then getting curious about the patterns we see arising (both internal and external) that guide you toward or away from what you define as a meaningful life. This approach utilizes a neuroscience informed understanding of the mind, mindfulness practices, compassionate acceptance building and committed action to make the changes you want to see in your life.

EMDR (with creative arts focus!) - more accelerated approach to trauma processing that gets to the root of issues and uses creative arts practices to support integration.
