About My Clients
I work with clients experiencing unwanted change, life transitions, anxiety and depression, or clients who have experienced emotional or physical trauma. I use a combination of mindfulness, compassion practices and EMDR to address the discomfort of intense emotional pain, and I can help you bring joy back into your life! If you are facing a major milestone (illness, empty-nest, separation or loss), or you are so worried and low that you just can’t relax or feel positive, I can help.
My Background and Approach
I'm an LCSW trained in EMDR, Contemplative Psychotherapy (MCBT/ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My approach involves mindfulness, compassion, EMDR, IFS, emotional freedom technique and various mindfulness techniques. I work with clients dealing with health, career, parenting and relationship challenges, anxiety, depression and trauma. I have extensive experience in oncology, hospice and palliative care, grief, loss and major life transitions including terminal illness. I support patients and caregivers facing chronic and life limiting illness (including pain), and I also serve health professionals facing job stress and burnout. I specialize in complex emotional and social situations, and coping difficulties due to the loss of physical/cognitive ability and loss of social support.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are the expert, and I am a mirror to help you see the different angles of your thoughts, feelings, and reactivity. I believe in your capacity for self leadership, and that you don’t need me to fix you, but you want a partner to see you, and help you create the change you want to see in your life.
