About My Clients

Living in a world that doesn’t always align with your values can lead to anger, frustration, and grief. It’s exhausting to constantly navigate spaces that don’t reflect who you are or force yourself to fit expectations that don’t serve you. You don’t need to change yourself to fit a “standard” way of being. It's about finding what’s true for YOU—unlearning patterns of survival, adaptation, and self-protection that no longer serve you and learning how to live in a way that feels more authentic.

My Background and Approach

I'm an interactive therapist; I provide feedback and ask questions. I use trauma informed approaches such as EMDR, IFS, and somatic techniques in a way that is culturally relevant for marginalized clients. I focus on making therapy realistic for the change you want to create in your life. I hold space for identity development and intergenerational healing in a way that feels both supportive and actionable. I believe trust is built over time, not assumed. I am continually committed to creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and in control of your healing. Therapy is about helping you grow and heal without changing you into someone you're not. I have 17 years of post-graduate clinical experience supporting adults & couples. I've served as an adjunct professor in graduate programs focused on multicultural clinical care. I'm trained in EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Yoga Therapy, DBT-informed work, Gottman Level 1 & 2, and IFS-informed therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My work is rooted in decolonization, collective liberation, and healing in a world designed to erase us. The personal is political—systems weren’t built for us, and the emotional, psychological, and spiritual toll of that is systemic. As a therapist, I center liberation for BIPOC communities, knowing struggles for justice are interconnected. I welcome conversations about Black and Palestinian liberation and the toll of having that denied. I refuse to be neutral in the face of white supremacy, apartheid, and genocide. Grief, rage, and exhaustion aren’t things to fix—they’re valid. I integrate IFS, EMDR, and somatic work in a culturally relevant, trauma-informed way, attuned to how oppression shapes our nervous systems and beliefs. Healing isn’t about fitting into this system—it’s about honoring who you are. Where and how that line is drawn isn’t for me to decide—it’s yours, and I support you in that, always with your autonomy and consent.
