About My Clients
Do you feel stuck searching for relief from painful emotions, only to end up feeling defeated? Our minds try to protect us from pain, so we search for answers—yet when nothing works, we often blame ourselves. You’re not alone. I’m here to help you build self-compassion, develop new responses to pain, and strengthen relationships so you can move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and a life that aligns with your values.
My Approach to Helping
With training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), I integrate mindfulness, parts-work, somatic experiencing, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to support healing. Successful therapy starts with a strong relationship, so I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel valued. I also enjoy using humor when it feels right! Growth can be uncomfortable, but I take a gentle, trauma-informed approach as you develop new skills. Many of us have learned to avoid emotions, shame ourselves, and simply ‘move on,’ leaving us feeling unseen and depleted. Together, we’ll build your ability to tolerate discomfort while responding to emotions, trauma reminders, and life’s challenges with self-compassion and intention.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to growth and self-awareness in both my personal and professional life. I engage in my own therapy and continuously seek to learn from others. I value honest feedback and open dialogue, believing they foster deeper trust and connection. It’s important to me to acknowledge how my identities—including my privilege—impact others and to actively work toward deconstructing oppression and minimizing harm. I strive to be LGBTQIA-affirming, anti-racist, and culturally sensitive. I am not an expert on anyone’s identity but my own, and I am committed to listening, learning, and growing as an ally.
