About My Clients

My Background and Approach
My background in trauma counseling and advocacy has shaped the foundation of my therapeutic approach. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges—from my time as a trauma counselor and victim advocate with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office to serving as a social worker for individuals with disabilities at YAI Gramercy Preschool. My work with victims of abuse in child protective services, as well as refugees and marginalized populations through World Relief Tri-Cities, has reinforced my belief in centering each person in their unique experience. In our work together, I start where you are, honoring your story and your pace. I use evidence-based approaches grounded in compassion-focused therapy and mindfulness to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore, heal, and grow. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you access your own resilience and fostering a path toward deeper healing and self-understanding.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent worth of every individual and the power of inclusivity to foster genuine healing and growth. My LDS background and Christian faith are rooted in the belief that all souls have value, and I am committed to using my privilege to work toward dismantling systems of oppression, both in society and within religious spaces. This includes challenging structures of sexism, homophobia, ableism, and racism that persist within faith communities, including the church. I hold that everyone is capable of positive change, and I strive to create an environment where each person feels seen, valued, and empowered to pursue their own journey of growth.
