About My Clients
I have passion and experience in counseling clients who are teenagers (ages 14 to 19 yo) and young women (ages 20-35 years old) who may be experiencing depression, a difficult relationship, anxiety, low self-esteem etc. I also offer a support group for teenagers, Clinical Social Work supervision, and private practice training. My Background and Approach
Graduating with honors from the University of Texas Arlington with a Masters in Social Work, a concentration in Clinical psychotherapy, obtaining my license as a Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, with about 7 year’s experience in counseling clients from various backgrounds/cultures, and being a TX Behavioral Health Executive Council board approved supervisor for up & coming therapists, I would like to use my wealth of education, experiences, passion, and faith to help transform your life by offering you counseling sessions from a Christian faith-based perspective so you don't have to be alone in navigating life issues that may or has come your way. Obtaining an MBA from LSUS, being a member of the The American Association of Christian Counselors, attending therapy related workshops, continuing education units, and conferences has helped me to maintain and grow in competencies needed to succesfully operate a a private practice and help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was inspired to start this counseling practice to help people fulfill their life dreams, goals, and aspirations by giving them the tools and skills needed to stay motivated, excited, and positive in the process of life. Fulfilling your full potential is possible when your mental and spiritual wellbeing is healthy. In our therapy sessions, I will be patient to hear and know more about your life problems/situations and with that come up with the best therapeutic treatment plan tailored to you. I'm most passionate about helping you get through the pain and issues you face daily by guiding you to discover your gifts, develop positive coping strategies, and utilize your strengths to achieve living your best life. I feel like I've discovered my gifts from God by going through the fire and coming out as refined gold. I've learned many lessons along life's journey which has inspired me to also help you navigate through life experiences prepared to soar above the situations with excellency
