I work with individuals and families who have experienced trauma, whether from a single event or a series of distressing experiences. Trauma often disrupts daily life in various ways. Sometimes the impact is more noticeable, such as avoiding places associated with the trauma, while at other times it is more subtle, like persistent feelings of unease, difficulty focusing, or challenges in relationships. I look forward to learning more about your and helping you find your path forward.
My Background and Approach
What we know about trauma and loss is that, while it’s natural to want to avoid thinking about the event or events, our minds and bodies benefit from addressing them in a safe, trauma-informed environment. This doesn’t mean clients are expected to recount every detail of what happened. Rather, we work toward healing together, gently confronting the trauma’s impact. I have had the honor of working with many individuals and families who have experienced trauma and have witnessed their healing. I use a blend of evidence-based approaches, such as EMDR, TF-CBT, and DBT. I hold deep hope for individuals who have experienced trauma and believe that together we can create your unique way forward. I value sustainable therapy which will benefit clients beyond our time together. We don't know what the future holds, but I help clients be able to process their past so they feel grounded in the present and empowered to handle the future.
