She specializes in therapy for anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties and life transitions. As a queer identifying and neurodiverse therapist, she is passionate about accessible and affordable mental health services for people with marginalized identities.
My Background and Approach
She earned a Master Degree in Clinical Social Worker from New York University, where she trained in a multicultural and social justice orientation to mental health. Prior to her masters degree, she graduated with a bachelors degree from Oakland University. Whitney has completed additional coursework in psychoanalytic training, trauma therapy and is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She worked in corporate wellness, community mental health and private practice, as well as in non-profit administration, prior to starting Moodlab Psychotherapy.
