My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is evidence-based, solutions-focused, and direct, while centering compassion and validation. There's a lot to learn by taking a hard look at your experiences, and the greatest growth happens in the uncomfortable, gray areas. The greatest growth happens in the uncomfortable, gray areas. I view therapy as a collaboration - a path we walk together - and my goal for all clients is to highlight their inherent strengths, respect the realities of their lived experience, and build skills and awareness to help them achieve their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work is guided by three core values: 1) Knowledge is power. When we gain insight into ourselves and understand why our minds do the things they do, we have the power to stop being bystanders in our own life and start taking action. 2) We cannot filter out the unwanted parts of life, but we can choose how we show up. Because life is lived equally in the highs and lows, I support clients in engaging fully with all life has to offer, in service of what matters most to them. 3) All change - even that which we most want - is scary. With an empathic and open-minded approach, we work together to move through the fear and achieve your goals.
