About My Clients
Are you someone who struggles with food and body image? You wake up in the morning proclaiming that you're going to be "better" that day, only to find yourself a few hours later in the same cycle? Does it seem like food runs your entire life? It can feel like no matter what you do, there's no way out of this trap you're in. In my work with clients I assist them in uncovering the reasons why food is controlling their life. It may seem like it's all about the food, but it's not.
My Background and Approach
I firmly believe that mental health is not just psychological—it is influenced by a variety of factors unique to each individual. There is no one-size-fits-all explanation for why an eating disorder develops, as everyone’s journey is different. Drawing from both personal lived experience and years of working in diverse settings with individuals struggling with eating disorders, I’ve witnessed firsthand how these disorders can take control of a person’s life. But I’ve also seen the incredible transformation that comes with recovery. Together, we will uncover the root causes of your disorder and identify the triggers that fuel negative behaviors. Through this process, you’ll gain the tools to build a healthier, more stable relationship with food and your body.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a highly sensitive and compassionate individual, I am deeply passionate about advocating for those who may not have a voice, particularly those who are underserved. Whether it’s animals, older adults, or underrepresented communities, I am committed to speaking up on their behalf and raising awareness for their needs. As a human services professional, I see it as my responsibility to amplify their voices, foster understanding, and work toward meaningful change.
