About My Clients
Do you long for deeper connection, more clarity and peace. Or have you felt the tension of struggle in satisfaction of your relationships (friendships, romantic relationships or family of origin), or your relationship with your body, food or exercise? I want to help you thrive in your relationships, body and life.
My Background and Approach
My passion for helping people heal holistically began as a student athlete in high school and college. Soon after, it developed from a passion into my professional life: I earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN, and a masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA. Along the way, I spent seven years working in student life and 10 years as a working mom. My heart, education, and personal and professional experience have led me to the work I love. Connection and compassion lead my relational work with clients. I will hep you integrate mind, body and soul heal from past disconnection, trauma and pain to encourage you to live with more freedom, creativity and meaning. I integrate sensory experience, EMDR and attachment theory to help you integrate your relationships more holistically.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My values keep me rooted personally and professionally. I believe the individuals feel most alive when the body, mind and spirit are integrated. The work of therapy is creating deeper self-awareness in order to live a more satisfying life. Self-awareness helps us to create integrated narratives to increase understanding, compassion and empathy for ourselves and others. Our work will often help you make sense of your past so you can live more fully aware and empowered in your present. I am a human too. Our relationship is a micro environment for what you experience in your day to day lives. We will work on our relationship to help you grow in awareness and capacity to hold a full spectrum of emotions and experience. I do my best to show up and authentically be myself with you so that you can do the same. It is important to me that all parts of you have space to be seen, heard and known and feel welcome in therapy.
