About My Clients
Do you feel that anxiety or depression has taken over your life? Do you feel that your emotions lead you to act in ways that later you regret? Maybe logically you understand, but your body seems to respond differently. Maybe you are confused, overwhelmed, and don't even know where to start. You are probably looking for a way to break these patterns. I know emotions and our relationships can be some of the most beautiful and most painful things we can experience in life, but there is hope.
My Background and Approach
I help clients work through trauma and leave the unhealthy patterns that may have been useful for them in the past, but are now getting in the way of the life they want to live. I can help you do the same. I want to make sure you feel confident and build a diverse set of skills for managing problems and put you in the drivers seat, not your emotions! I specialize in anxiety, OCD, trauma, and relationships. My approach focuses primarily on CBT, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, Exposure-Response Prevention, Attachment based therapy, among other acclaimed therapeutic models. I strive to be empathetic while being assertive enough to get to the heart of the issue. I try and give my clients the skills necessary, so you don't have to be in therapy forever. But, if you want to stay I don't mind either! I am confident that we can find tools that will work for you and your unique situation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Want to know why I am so passionate about my job? Because I have been there. I love working with people with anxiety, trauma, relationships, and OCD because trust me, I know all too well what it is like. Because of my own personal experience with these issues, not only have I dedicated my career and education to mental health and relationships, but much of my own personal life has involved furthering my education, reading, learning, and attending my own therapy for OCD, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and my relationships. It takes courage to ask for support, and I know it can be easy to put off taking care of yourself. But you deserve it. It can feel overwhelming and scary trying to find a therapist, so take your time and shop around. If you feel we may be a good fit, great- lets schedule a free consultation session so you can know for sure. You deserve to feel better.
