Our painful memories are stored within us and can impact us emotionally, physically, and add layers of challenges to our daily living. I have worked with many individuals that struggle symptoms related to PTSD and often use Brainspotting as an effective treatment modality when other forms of talk therapy have not had the desired lasting results.

The majority of my career has been working with individuals diagnosed with depression and struggle with unwanted thoughts. My experience in Brainspotting, CBT, and DBT, as well as operating through a strength-based and trauma-informed lens, has often been the variety of modalities helpful in managing emotional distress.

I often use DBT and CBT in my practice and found it can be beneficial in managing anxiety. I also support in identifying helpful strategies to manage "sitting in the suck" a little more comfortable. Often our unwanted thoughts can escalate our anxiety. Being trained in Brainspotting, I often use this as a modality to help support emotional regulation.

I believe that identifying our thinking traps and learning how to pull the lens back and explore our thought patterns are integral in how we manage tension and conflict. I use the six main points of DBT often in my practice to support mindfulness practices and emotional regulation.

I believe that sometimes our thoughts can be our own worst enemy. I often use CBT in my practice to face our unproductive thoughts head on in order to reframe and replace them with more positive, beneficial, and useful thoughts.

I am trained in Brainspotting Level 1 and use this often in my practice. I have utilized this modality to help reduce intrusive thoughts, decrease symptoms related to OCD/anxiety, have less of an emotional response when thinking of painful memories, and doing trauma processing when traditional talk therapy has been ineffective.
