About My Clients

Are you at your wits' end? Tired of too much yelling and screaming or being kicked and hit by your child? Have you been feeling at a loss for how to help your child? Are teachers reporting they seem unfocused, bouncing off the walls, or having trouble making friends? Maybe you've tried a million different parenting strategies and nothing is working. You need some help to restore your peace- now! Whether it's testing or therapy, we can work together to find the answers and support you need.

My Background and Approach

I have extensive experience working with children and their families, both for therapy and testing. I graduated with my Ph.D. in educational psychology in 2013, which gave me experience working with children and families across a variety of settings including schools, pediatric offices, and hospitals. I completed an internship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with training at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities. I then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric primary care at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at University of Nebraska Medical Center before working for the past 10 years as a psychologist at Children's Nebraska. During my time at Children's, I provided ADHD and Autism testing and worked in medical inpatient and clinic settings, including pediatric oncology clinics. I hold an endorsement in infant mental health and am a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy certified therapist and trainer.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we all have the capacity for insight and change, and sometimes we need a little outside perspective to help us get where we want to be. I believe all children deserve to grow up in supportive, loving environments that help them become the best version of themselves. I am passionate about providing quality, compassionate care with respect for all. I believe in promoting social and racial justice and approach my work with cultural humility. I have volunteer experiences related to children with chronic illnesses as well as families coping with grief. I have a special passion for pediatric oncology patients and their families as they navigate a very emotional journey. As an infant mental health mentor and parent of two young children myself, I know parenting can be tough, and we want to "get it right." I don't think there's any one right way; the right way is what's right and works for your family. Reach out to find out more about how I can help!
