I believe that effective therapy happens within the context of a safe and supportive relationship. I keep this in mind in my work with you.

About My Clients

I work with both individuals and couples who are hoping to grow and change out of the dysfunctional patterns that no longer serve them. Whether it be depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, or trauma, I help to build a secure and supportive therapeutic relationship to explore and work through these issues collaboratively and with respect for your courage for engaging in therapy. Its not always easy to face our pain head-on and to trust someone else to hold that space with us.

My Background and Approach

I strive to create a therapeutic environment that supports safety, trust, and meaningful connection. My approach is person centered, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed. I am trained in EMDR and regularly use this technique to support you through addressing core wounds from the past that may impact your present experience. I have seen clients from all different backgrounds and have experience working with LGBTQI+ community and People of Color. With couples I help facilitate more honest communication, support healing attachment wounds, and work through patterns no longer serving the relationship. I also have experience with Consensual Non-Monogamy and Polyamory and can support couples or individuals wanting to explore this as an option. It takes immense courage to enter therapy and experience the changes that this process can yield. It is therefore my goal to align with you, meet you where you're at, and walk alongside of you on your path towards healing and transformation.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we have all experienced some kind of trauma, be it little "t" or big "T" trauma, we are shaped by our experiences. That said, I believe that life challenges build resiliency and strengths that we can draw on. My hope is that therapy empowers you to access your unique strengths and natural healing abilities, building a capacity to cope when life gets hard. I am a strong ally of the LGBTQAI+ community and volunteered at the Los Angeles LGBTQ center counseling Trans and Non-Binary Youth. I am also a supporter of Black Lives Matter and have engaged in activist work supporting criminal justice reform and ending mass incarceration for almost a decade.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
