About My Clients
Have you been told that you're "too much"? Do you struggle daily with feelings of extreme hopelessness? Do you have thoughts that you would be better off dead, or even seeing/hearing things you know are not there? Borderline Personality Disorder, severe depression, psychosis and more can stop you from feeling comfortable in your own skin. Therapy can help you learn to live in harmony with your self, and I look forward to guiding you on this journey.
My Background and Approach
I am an LSW, which means I practice under the guidance of a supervisor (Josephine Ampaw). I have specialized training in mental illnesses such as Borderline Personality Disorder, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, psychosis, and severe depression. To help you learn to live in harmony with yourself, I use modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, play therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, person-centered therapy, humanistic therapy, and narrative therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe in taking a radical, intersectional approach to mental health care. My ideal clients are those who have lived marginalized experiences whether it be from your race, disability status, immigration status, class, sexuality, or religion. Lastly, I firmly align with the abolition of the carceral state, and all that includes.
