About My Clients
I listen and try to understand where my clients are coming from, and once we understand one another and have built a solid relationship I can teach a wide variety of integrative health and wellness skills that will help you overcome challenges related (but not limited) to: school refusal, social anxiety, peer group communication, family conflicts, intimate relationships, behavioral addictions, chronic illness, emotional trauma and panic attacks.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, Wilderness therapy and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy techniques. I specialize in adolescents and their families as well as adults. My work is done remotely via Zoom or in person on a horse farm where we can engage with animals and nature in whatever capacity feels most comfortable for my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Being a native New Yorker I have a relatively direct approach, while working to remain warm and always nonjudgmental. As a lifelong horse person I found the integration of rescue horses into psychotherapy work to be seamless and have enjoyed seeing the ways that they and my clients have benefitted from unpacking trauma in many forms. I come from an integrative/functional health background and aim to provide my clients with multidisciplinary methods to address physical and mental health concerns through diet, exercise, and general lifestyle changes.
