Rachel has worked with adults and adolescents suffering from depression, anxiety, burnout, Bipolar disorder, OCD, Borderline-Personality and among other personality/mental disorders, sexual disorders, eating disorders, trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, criminal history, homelessness, substance use, relationship issues, low self-esteem/self-worth, and sexual/gender identity.
My Background and Approach
Rachel's goal for her clients is to provide comfort and a safe space that allows for guidance during times of distress, life adjustments, personal struggles, and processing feelings/emotions in the most authentic and positive way possible. Rachel has an integrative and eclectic therapeutic approach, utilizing various therapy approaches based on the client's needs: CBT, trauma-focused CBT, Person-Centered therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Solution-focused therapy, Career counseling, Grief therapy, Mindfulness-based CBT, Attachment theory, and Narrative therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone who has faced major loss due of loved ones and impact of natural disaster, I can empathize with those who have gone through traumatic and significant life changes. Having gone through my own experience with loss, I can provide a sense of validation and comfort to those seeking support and guidance and processing their feelings in session together.
