About My Clients
I work with people tending to their relationship with themselves, their identities, past experiences, current life, or what comes next. Those moving through life transitions (internal or otherwise) exploring ways of being with others, communities, or in this current world. I work with folks who have often felt “different" or been called “too sensitive.” I believe in those I work with and am excited for what you will create for yourself.
My Background and Approach
I know starting therapy can be hard. I hope sharing about who I am as a therapist helps clarify if I feel like a good fit for you. I view connection and authenticity as strengths. I center consent and empowerment, depathologize responses to harm (systemic or otherwise), and value lived experience. I will take you and your needs seriously while celebrating your joy. I am non-judgmental, interested, understanding, and trust your self-knowledge. Art therapy supports expression, self-reflection, exploration, repair and meaning making in therapy and more importantly in your life beyond therapy. Art making is not a requirement. I will actively check in with you in order to provide sessions reflective of your goals and guided by what you find most helpful. If you were looking for “talk therapy”/psychotherapy services, I encourage you to reach out. We can discuss ways to create sessions that reflect what you are looking for.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQ+ affirming, sex positive, fat positive, and respect spiritual and cultural practices. I am committed to ongoing growth as a therapist through ongoing training, workshops, books, conversation and my own self work. I hope to support you in connecting to yourself, others, place, and sense of belonging and in building practices of joy and care - integral pieces of personal repair and collective liberation.
