About My Clients
I welcome clients with anxiety, depression, functional symptoms, sleep difficulties, behavior problems, gender fluidity, and medical illnesses to see if, together, we can promote your wellness.
My Background and Approach
Before coming to Mangata, I worked in medical hospitals, treating children, adolescents, and families in managing and coping with pediatric health conditions and traumas. It is a joy to help youth understand the way that the mind and the body are connected and to learn skills that will assist in their overall wellness. I also have experience working with gender expansive youth and enjoy being a part of the gender journey with families.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I prioritize connection and bringing myself into the room in order to facilitate comfort and rapport with my clients. I adapt how I work with clients based upon their age/developmental level and personality. I primarily utilize cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), behavior therapy (BT), and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques in session.
