I help my clients find hope and meaning in themselves and in their relationships with others. I help my clients learn new skills, clarify their needs, and improve their communication with others.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I provide a supportive and empathetic presence. In our sessions, you can express yourself as we explore your thought processes together. Everyday stress and other urgencies may distract you from focusing on your needs, so when you're with me, we'll identify the obstacles that hold you back from achieving a healthier mind and true happiness. My approach is flexible and adapts to your needs and goals. I use different techniques, such as CBT, TF-CBT, MBCT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and Narrative Therapy, to find what works best for you. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I wanted to help those struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues because people in my family were struggling with these issues. I found that, at the time, there were not enough resources for people to get the help they really need. I feel honored when people have the courage to share their stories with me. I love to witness the changes in my clients and their lives. I am trained in several approaches that can create new insights about your feelings and behaviors. I’ll create a tailored plan based on your needs that may include learning new coping skills, new tools for communication, and identifying unhealthy thinking patterns. Together, we will better understand you and work together to develop a new and improved way of living.
