About My Clients

My clients are compassionate souls feeling overwhelmed by relentless fears and self-doubt. If you struggle with uncertainty or feel unworthy and ashamed, I know the feeling. Together we can turn self-acceptance into a powerful tool, one that makes your journey through life's unpredictability not just tolerable but meaningful and fulfilling.

My Background and Approach

I strive to be a down-to-earth therapist who believes in a collaborative approach to your therapy journey. Together we will set clear, achievable goals and focus on making meaningful progress towards them. My approach is goal-oriented, and I emphasize measuring your advancement to ensure we’re on the right track. In our sessions, you'll gain concrete skills to practice outside the therapy room, empowering you to make real changes in your life. I value continual feedback, so we’ll regularly check in on what’s working and what isn’t, adapting our approach as needed. Our work will also involve exploring your unique journey—how you arrived at this point and the strengths and areas for growth that define you. By understanding your past and how it shapes you, we’ll forge a path forward that leverages your personal strengths and addresses your challenges.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Several personal beliefs guide my practice as a psychologist. First, I want you to feel empowered with new skills and confidence so that one day, you can face life's challenges independently. Second, I believe everyone deserves to be seen and heard, thus I am particularly passionate about working with clients who have been silenced, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and people of color, as well as clients who feel immensely stuck in shame, low self-esteem, or suicidal thoughts. Though our minds may try to tell us that we cannot climb out of despair (or deserve to do so), I firmly believe that even in the darkest of times, life can hold meaning, and together we can find it. Lastly, I believe in our common humanity and try to be as genuine as I can. I value honesty and humility and hold myself to a high standard of treatment. I care about your feedback and want to provide the best therapy experience possible.
