About My Clients
Whether we are in the office or at the ranch, the presence of an animal provides a calming environment. I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience and in working with me, you'll get a non-judgmental therapist with a sense of humor! I specialize in working with women on dating struggles. I would love to help you navigate dating and relationships while staying true to yourself, healing past wounds, communicating effectively, and holding strong boundaries.
My Background and Approach
I believe in helping clients to find their own inner strength and facilitating their journey toward their best selves. This is further strengthened by the human-animal bond. My background is unique in that I have an Ed.S. in School Psychology and spent 5 years working at all different levels of public education. I have earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and I have specialized training in animal-assisted therapy from the Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado and an Equine-Assisted Mental Health Certificate from the University of Denver’s Institute for Human-Animal Connection. If you want a different type of therapy, I'm here to help. Experience with animals is not a requirement and you choose the level of interaction. I offer a free phone consultation where you may ask questions or express any concerns!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Animals have always been therapeutic for me, personally, and I want to share their healing abilities with my clients. I believe in the power of the human-animal bond. I believe in the power of connection. I want to help you recognize your own strength and use that to help you grow and achieve your goals. I work with individuals from all identities and backgrounds. I strive for the feeling of safety and comfort in all of my clients.
