My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person is inherently resilient. I see therapy as a tool to help you deepen connection to self, access resilience through embodiment, learn new skills, change habits, explore intergenerationally inherited burdens & strengths and move from surviving to flourishing. I believe that relationships are essential for wellness and thus a strong therapeutic relationship is necessary for effective psychotherapy. I work in a client-centered way and see us as a team, partnered up as we explore, navigate, experiment and create. I see you as the expert in your own experience and strive to empower you to make choices in and outside the therapy room. I bring my scientist-practitioner training, expertise in trauma-informed care, experience as a fellow human, humor and optimism into my work. When I'm not working I enjoy practicing yoga, exploring shamanic practices for personal growth, hiking, cooking, seeing live music with friends and hanging out with my husband and baby.
