About My Clients
If you are wanting support to navigate questions and challenges around identity, relationships, grief, trauma, traumatic loss and grief, gender and sexuality, anxiety, or stress, I'm so glad you're seeking a partner in healing. I especially enjoy working with teens, young adults, LGBTQIA+ identifying folx, and those interested in understanding how systems of oppression have impacted their mental health. I have specialized training to support and work with children, youth and families.
My Background and Approach
I believe that each client is the expert on their own identity, experience, and challenges. Our work together will be guided by your intuition and understanding as we collaborate on a path forward. I deeply value my connection with each client and know how important our relationship is in your healing. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can be in the moment and recognize the places you already feel empowered and strong, so you can apply those skills in other areas. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, Health-at-Every-Size aligned, and liberation focused. I integrate client expertise with trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure techniques, child, adolescent and family based interventions, and mindfulness practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a white, queer, gender-fluid, non-disabled clinician with a background in education and a social justice orientation, I bring an awareness of my own identities, experiences, and biases into my work with clients, and am committed to making my practice a safe, anti-oppressive space for people of all identities and backgrounds. Outside of sessions I love to read radical utopian fiction, play and write music, and being by the water.
