About My Clients
While I work with people from diverse populations on a wide variety of issues, I have the most expertise in supporting people of color, people with ADHD, Adult Children of Alcoholics, & blended families. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, life changes, parenting challenges, ADHD issues, relationship challenges, or trauma, I would be honored to work with you.
My Background and Approach
I work in a holistic, collaborative manner and adjust along the way to fine tune therapy to match your needs. While I use several different therapeutic tools, including CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness, the most important part is getting to know you and finding what works for you. My educational background includes a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Washington. I have worked over a decade with people on a wide variety of issues and backgrounds in schools, juvenile justice programs, hospitals, disabilities programs, and in the therapy office. My work in these areas has contributed to my diverse skill set, and non-judgmental, unconditional positive regard for my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am mixed race, neurodivergent and a mother in a blended family. My intersectional identities and the challenges they come with have really made me a better therapist than I could otherwise have been, allowing me to connect with, and better support people with various intersecting and marginalized identities. I have experienced many adversities, which has allowed me to hold hope & a deeply held belief in the abilities of my clients to not just come out the other side but grow stronger as a result. We all have different suffering and challenges, but these stories can also become strengths. I work to help clients move through pain and into lives they love.
