About My Clients
My clients tend to present with trauma (including adoption trauma), attachment issues, mood struggles, and/or neurodivergence (such as autism and ADHD).
My Background and Approach
I am a BIPOC international adoptee who is autistic and who has had mental health struggles. I graduated from Stanford University, and received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in 2018 from John F. Kennedy University. I maintain an active membership with California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I strive to create a safe, accepting environment in which we can collaborate on ways to fulfill your goals for therapy. My person-centered orientation means I provide understanding and validation, as well as regard you as the expert on yourself. I may help guide you to deeper understanding or new insights, and even offer new tools, but ultimately you know what will work for you and will be the one to make the changes. I am also neuroaffirming! My lens is trauma informed as well as built on an understanding of attachment science. I have an integrative approach, and incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of therapy, I am very involved in movements for social justice. I also fight to break down the stigma of mental illness. I am part of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
